I think I'd be good for the job as I'm trans myself and have a lot of
resources that I have access to. I know how important it is to get
some support and I'm more than willing to provide that support for
others. I know what it's like so I won't just be a sympathetic ear,
I'll actually understand what they're going though. I also know the
people who run a nearby support group who has access to even more
information than I Do.

Rachel has proven herself to be a keen member of the LGBT committee,
attending many of the society meetings and socialising with other
members. I feel that Rachel would be able to develop the position of
Transgendered welfare officer which has been left unfilled over the
past few years.
I think Rachel would be able to provide an excellent link from the
LGBT to any transgendered persons who are thinking about joining the
society and to maintain links with existing transgendered members.
For these reasons, I am seconding Rachel in her decision to run as
transgendered welfare officer.
