Apparently Radio 1 have edited the above Christmas tune because it contains the word "faggot" which may offend some gay people.

This has caused amusement on Radio 2 where it has been suggested that polictial correctness may have got out of hand. One or two of the DJs may even of had the odd delusion of youth by being able to rebel and play the tune in full.

I can see the point of Radio 1 and think that it is good of them to take the feelings of the gay community into consideration but I do tend to agree with the Radio 2 point of view.

I have to say that this is one of my favourite Christmas tunes (the other one being Can You Stop The Cavalry) and until
I herd this mentioned on Radio 2 I had not considered that there may be any offencive content.

I wondered how other people would react. Personally I feel that the world in general should try to be a little bit robust about these sorts of things.
