Elections will be held Wednesday 30th April
-Must chair all meetings (both committee and members)
-Must help the committee continue to grow and help publicise the society.
-Should gain close contacts within the local LGBT community for the benefit of all members
-Must keep close ties with the Union and sabbatical officers to help keep the society up to date and assist with any problems
-Attend Regular committee meetings
-Make sure at least one committee member attends societies council
-Set agendas for committee meetings (with the input of the committee)
-Must review action points from all previous meetings
-Should publish all minutes from every meeting with action points
-Attend Regular committee meetings
-Administers the finances of the Society, including the collection of fees from all members, whenever they join during the year.
-Produces the Society’s annual return and budget application (and any subsequent budget applications) to the Union
-Collects and keeps records of accounts from trips.
-Pays in all money received for the society into the union accounts.
-Deals with any reimbursement required (for example a refund for train fare paid to go on national conferences).
-Attend Regular committee meetings
-To help arrange trips and social meetings for the societies members.
-To keep in contact with the appropriate union officers so ensure a healthy relationships which will make things such as organising events and booking transportation easier.
-To maintain contact with drivers for the LGBT events.
-To be aware of the needs and desires of ALL our society members and to keep this in mind when organising events.

-To help arrange trips and social meetings for the societies members.

-Is available to represent all members within our community (especially lesbians and female bisexuals)
-Will keep up to date on issues affecting the females in our society.
-Be a figure of support to those members who need help or advice.
-Work with the rest of the welfare team establishing links within the wider community and creating a support network for the society.
-Help to establish a welfare section for the website and keep it up to date
-Attend Regular committee meetings
-Keeps up to date with national and international issues that affect the trans community.
-To be a body of support to any trans members that feel they need help or advice.
-Be willing to act as a representative for the societies the trans in committee meetings or if an issue needs to be discussed.
-To make members of the trans community feel welcome in our LGBT society.
-Work with the rest of the welfare team establishing links within the wider community and creating a support network for the society.
-Help to establish a ‘T’ section for the website and keep it up to date
-Attend Regular committee meetings
-Help publicise the Society throughout the year (especially during fresher’s fayre/fortnight)
-Maintain the website and forums for all members to use
-Help all committee sectors in setting up sections of the website
-Help to create fliers, leaflets etc throughout the year when needed
-Attend Regular committee meetings
-Keeps up to date with all the national campaigns run by the NUS LGBT.
-Keeps in contact with local campaigns (for example local attempts at publicising World’s Aids Day and LGBT history month).
-Presenting important information about events to members and encouraging members to get involved.
